The Relevance of President Vaclav Havel's Legacy in Today’s World. Panel discussion to mark President Havel's 80th birthday.
Havel’s colleagues will discuss current political themes he would have deemed relevant, such as the state of the European Union, the refugee crisis, the foreign policy of the United States, the rise of right-wing nationalism, the Trump phenomenon, the U.S. opening to Cuba and Iran et al. Panelists will include: Ivan Havel, Michael Kocab, Martin Palous, Jan Svejnar and Michael Zantovsky. Stephen Grand, Executive Director of the Middle East Strategy Task Force, Atlantic Council, will moderate the discussion.
